The inspiration for this bookmark is a woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige - Asakusa ricefields and Torinomachi Festival, from One Hundred Famous Views of Edo. He captured time and mood with brilliant minimalism - a dawn sky, a solitary cat, rice fields, Mt. Fuji in the distance, and a woman's clothing. And he is witty, with a foreground with wallpaper of birds and background of flying birds. Solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish, giclee print. 1.25 w x 2.75" Packaged in an acetate sleeve with provenance card.
