Vendor Product Submissions

Product Submission Process and Guidelines

The SBMA Museum Store’s mission is to create an engaging experience for the Museum visitor and online guest where they will be inspired, learn additional information about the artwork in the galleries while deepening their connection with art through books and products within the Museum Store.

The Museum Store aims to support the galleries and programming through store proceeds.  The Santa Barbara Museum of Art Museum Store offers a curated mix of original products by innovative designers and regional artisans with a wide range of price points.  Items crafted in California, especially in Santa Barbara and nearby vicinities are given priority consideration. Items must reflect the values and mission of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.

Please note-we do not accept or sell any original artwork inside the Museum Store.  All items must be functional artisanal crafts, wearable fashion, jewelry, gift, children's toys, games, books or design centric products.  Specific criteria is thoroughly reviewed while considering carrying new items.  This criteria includes relevancy to artworks inside our galleries, profit margins and revenue potential, current trends and customer demands.

If you are an artisan or vendor interested in submitting items for possible sale in the Museum Stores, please review the following guidelines, policies and procedures.  Please do not send samples unless specifically requested as they cannot be returned.

How to submit your work

In order for us to properly process and review all product submissions, we kindly ask that you request a product submission form from sbmastore@sbma.net.  We will ask for cost, minimum order size, names of other stores and Museum Stores sold to, where items are produced.  If selected, we require all vendors provide high resolution photos, product descriptions and artisan information.

Please do not send samples unless specifically requested as they cannot be returned.
