Claude Monet’s splendid gardens in Giverny abound with dazzling blossoms and graceful greenery. Famous in their day but then seen by only a few, the gardens - like the gracious house they surround - were restored and opened to the public in 1980. An expert gardener herself, photographer Elizabeth Murray participated in the restoration and returns regularly to record the ever-changing beauty that inspired Monet. Concise descriptions accompany each of Murray’s photographs in this calendar.
